Reported Domain Sales (NOTICE TO READER)
NOTICE TO READER
There is no official registry or domain sales history such as may be found in organized real estate. The forgoing list is taken from many Internet sources, some of which may not be verified. Furthermore it is not complete as most sales go unreported or contain “do not disclose” clauses in their sales agreements. Also, these sales are taken over a span of several years and do not necessarily reflect the upward movement of prices and therefore may not accurately reflect the current market. Furthermore, some are not necessarily “sales” as is commonly understood as they may be the price they “dropped” for in expired domain auctions and may have traded for a price lower than what they may have sold for on the open market.
These sales sources do include DnJournal.com (the main source) and Sedo.com, which only post sales that are verified with proper documentation. Also, many sales postings are our own verified sales.
DomainNames.ca uses these sales as one approach to value and supply them to be used at your own discretion. We will continue to update this information with source and sale dates as we move along. You are encouraged to perform your own due diligence when arriving at your own opinion of value when making offers.
